Sofistyczna refleksja nad polis a nowożytny paradygmat polityczności człowieka

Abstract
Artykuł jest tekstem polemicznym z tezami książki C. Mielczarskiego Sofiści i polityka. Antyczne źródła liberalizmu europejskiego. Autorka przedstawia refleksję sofistyczną jako część greckiej kultury politycznej, która w dialektycznej jedności z platonizmem stanowi podstawę europejskiej formacji intelektualnej. Wtórnym wobec tego faktu wydaje się być prekursorstwo sofistów odnośnie względem nowożytnego przełomu w rozumieniu sfery polityczności. Autorka stoi na stanowisku, że eliminowanie filozoficznych podstaw ich społecznej refleksji, gubi sens przekazu zarówno myśli sofistycznej, jak i platońskiej. Polemizuje z tezą Mielczarskiego, że waga ruchu sofistycznego polega na ukazaniu, że na filozofię (klasyczną) przyjmującą istnienie absolutnej prawdy nie ma miejsca w demokratycznym państwie prawa i modelu współczesnej edukacji.
