Determinants of contemporary ethnic policy of the Third Republic of Poland.

Abstract

RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The main aim of the article is to present to the reader a major determinants of contemporary ethnic policy of the Third Republic of Poland.


THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: A tool used in the research was ethnic policy paradigm that has been formulated by Henryk Chałupczak.


THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: The article consists of eight parts. Each is dedicated to one of the determinants – constitutional, ideological, political, geopolitical, legal, demographic, geographical or historical.


RESEARCH RESULTS: Influence on the contemporary ethnic policy in Poland had each of the eight determinants named by Chałupczak - constitutional, ideological, political, geopolitical, legal, demographic, geographical or historical. The biggest impact had the legal changes.


CONLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Polish ethnic policy is susceptible to changes, especially legal.
